n00b
Hello everybody. I've never posted here before and I'm hoping that you folks can help me out.For some reason my Net MD MZ-N420D and my computer aren't getting along anymore. I'm trying to use SS3.1 to transfer MP3s onto my player as LP4 files. My PC has the horsepower and I'm running service pack 2, so I don't know what the problem is. When I plug my MD player into the USB port my computer (including SS3.1) acknowledges that it's there and the files that are on the MD show up in their proper area in SS3.1.But I can make no changes whatsoever. I can't use SS3.1 to delete files, initialize a disc, or transfer any files. My disc that already has music won't work with the program, nor will any of my blank discs. All of my discs are Sony discs. When I try deleting files from my one disc with music I get an error message that says something about ICV information. Any transfers I attempt to make to blank discs fail and the error message I get claims that SS3.1 doesn't support the file format. Of course, that makes no sense seeing as how I'm dealing with MP3s.I've already uninstalled everything and reinstalled but to no avail.Any ideas? Thanks!EDIT: I just installed the new version of Simple Burner and it too failed to transfer any music for me. A440
Try the MDAC Repair Tool from Programs under Downloads. It seems to clear up a lot of these difficulties.
